Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She currently competes with the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC other fighter, is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability during the clinch final round by using knees on the body. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed following this victory. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision, after winning her first fight. Antonina bounced right back after her loss and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The bout earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights before losing the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
